A child's phone is a place where deeds are recorded exactly like anywhere else. The Prophet ﷺ taught that a word can carry a person far, that a Muslim does not spy or mock, that time and health are gifts people waste, and that the gaze must be lowered. None of these rulings changed when the screen arrived. Every lesson below carries its ayah or hadith reference so you can check it yourself.
Lesson 1 · Type carefully · ages 8-11
Your words are written down
A message you send is a word you said. Allah records it, and one careless sentence can be heavier than you expect.
1The warning
The Prophet ﷺ said a person may say a word without thinking about it and be thrown far into the Fire because of it.
2Nothing is deleted
The Qur'an says two noble scribes record what we do; deleting a message does not delete the record.
3Whoever believes in the Last Day
The Prophet ﷺ said whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day should speak good or stay silent — that includes typing.
4Before you send
Ask: is it true, is it kind, is it needed? If any answer is no, do not send it.
5Screenshots are not the reason
We do not speak well because we might be caught; we speak well because Allah hears.

“O you who have believed, let not a people ridicule [another] people; perhaps they may be better than them; nor let women ridicule [other] women; perhaps they may be better than them. And do not insult one another and do not call each other by [offensive] nicknames. Wretched is the name of disobedience after [one's] faith. And whoever does not repent - then it is those who are the wrongdoers.”

“O you who have believed, avoid much [negative] assumption. Indeed, some assumption is sin. And do not spy or backbite each other. Would one of you like to eat the flesh of his brother when dead? You would detest it. And fear Allah; indeed, Allah is Accepting of repentance and Merciful.”
“Woe to him who tells things, speaking falsely, to make people laugh thereby. Woe to him! Woe to him!”

Think of one person who gets teased. Send them something kind, privately, today.
Lesson 4 · Two gifts people waste · ages 8-11
Guarding your time
The Prophet ﷺ named health and free time as two blessings people throw away. Screens are the easiest way to throw away both.
1The hadith
The Prophet ﷺ said there are two blessings which many people waste: health and free time.
2Salah comes first
If a game makes you late for Maghrib, the game has taken something you cannot buy back.
3Set a limit before you start
Decide the number of minutes before you open the app, not after.
4You will be asked
The Prophet ﷺ said a person will be asked about his life, his youth, his wealth and his knowledge.
5Fill the gap
Replace ten minutes of scrolling with ten minutes of Qur'an. Empty time does not stay empty.
Qul lilmu' mineena yaghuuddoo min absaarihim wa yahfazoo furoojahum; zaalika azkaa lahum; innallaaha khabeerum bimaa yasna'oon
“Tell the believing men to reduce [some] of their vision and guard their private parts. That is purer for them. Indeed, Allah is Acquainted with what they do.”

“And tell the believing women to reduce [some] of their vision and guard their private parts and not expose their adornment except that which [necessarily] appears thereof and to wrap [a portion of] their headcovers over their chests and not expose their adornment except to their husbands, their fathers, their husbands' fathers, their sons, their husbands' sons, their brothers, their brothers' sons, their sisters' sons, their women, that which their right hands possess, or those male attendants having no physical desire, or children who are not yet aware of the private aspects of women. And let them not stamp their feet to make known what they conceal of their adornment. And turn to Allah in repentance, all of you, O believers, that you might succeed.”
“Faith has sixty-odd or seventy-odd branches, the least of which is removing something harmful from the road, and the greatest of which is the statement 'there is none worthy of worship except Allah.' And modesty is a branch of faith.”
